'Brahmastra': Alia Bhatt's look as Isha dropped on her birthday
Dharma Productions is gearing up for the first part of its mythological science fiction flick Brahmastra to hit theaters in September. Yet, until now, we did not have any insight into its cinematic world except for a motion poster. But, on March 15, which is Alia Bhatt's birthday, makers revealed her look as Isha from the film. Check out the first look here.
What did the announcement say?
Taking to its social media sites, Dharma dropped a mere 30-second-long clip that showcases Isha in various scenes and situations. "A special day calls for a special celebration...the first-ever character glimpse of Brahmāstra. Meet Isha! Happy Birthday, @aliaa08!" read the caption. The post also noted that the inaugural part of the trilogy, titled, Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva will be out on September 9, 2022.

What does the clip show?
The clip begins with a single drop of water descending on Isha's face as she stands close together with Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) inside a fiery circle of sorts. Then, we see various avatars of Isha in relaxed and tense situations. As previous promotional clips have suggested, Isha will accompany Shiva in his quest to master the most powerful weapon (Brahmastra) in the universe.
Set in modern India, story based on Indian mythology
While the motion poster had revealed Shiva has mysterious powers that are drawn from fire, we don't yet know if Isha has any similar powers. Coming to the story, the first part will follow Shiva's journey of becoming the "divine hero of the universe." According to reports, the film will be set in modern India but based on Indian mythology.
'Brahmastra' also stars Big B, Nagarjuna in important roles
Apart from Bhatt and Kapoor, Brahmastra has Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. Further, Shah Rukh Khan is said to make an appearance in a cameo role. Written and directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra has suffered multiple times during its production stage due to the pandemic. Notably, birthday girl Bhatt is currently enjoying the success of her latest film Gangubai Kathiawadi.
