Tanushree to release short film on Bollywood's sexual harassment stories

Tanushree Dutta, who spearheaded the #MeToo movement in Bollywood, continues to contribute to the campaign.
Reportedly, the movement's torchbearer will release a short film on sexual harassment.
Titled Inspiration, the movie is said to be a collection of sexual harassment stories in Bollywood and is set to release on International Women's Day, ie., March 8.

'Movie deals with willful exploitation of young newcomers in showbiz'
Talking about the movie, Tanushree stated that Inspiration will highlight the deliberate exploitation of newcomers.
"It deals with the issue of willful exploitation of young newcomers in showbiz or any field where they don't have mentors or guidance," she added.
When asked if Inspiration is based on any real incident, Tanushree replied vaguely, "It' is a new format where reality meets fiction".
Role
Tanushree to 'play a guardian angel' in the film
Tanushree, who accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment in 2008, opened floodgates of the #MeToo wave in Bollywood.
She inspired many women to call out their abusers, mostly high-profile men of the industry.
In the movie, Tanushree will be seen reprising this character, that of a guardian angel.
"I play a guardian angel who inspires girls to make the right decision," she added.

Tanushree faces camera after nine years with 'Inspiration'
Interestingly, Inspiration will mark Tanushree's onscreen return after nine years.
She was last seen in 2010 release Apartment opposite Rohit Roy.
"I wrote the dialogues, inspired by my own insight and understanding on the matter. I was excited to face the camera after nine years because this time, I was not only entertaining but also imparting wisdom to the misled and unfortunate," she added.
