Mahira took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share that the film will hit Indian theaters on October 2.
The film is a contemporary retelling of the 1979 classic and has been a record-breaking success in Pakistan.

Historic release
'Maula Jatt' becomes first Pakistani film to release in India
Maula Jatt, which premiered in Pakistan in October 2022, has been hailed as a game-changer for South Asian cinema.
The film's official Instagram account shared the news of its Indian release, stating, "Two years on, The Legend of Maula Jatt is still unstoppable! Witness the epic saga on the big screen in India from October 2, 2024."
This marks the first time in years that a Pakistani film will be released in India.
Release delay
Indian premiere delayed after distributors pulled out
The Indian premiere of Maula Jatt was initially scheduled for December 30, 2023, but was postponed after distributors backed out at the last minute.
An INOX official had previously informed PTI, "We have been informed by the distributors that the release of the film has been postponed (indefinitely). We were told this two or three days ago."
The film has been a major hit in Pakistan, becoming the highest-grossing Pakistani and Punjabi-language film of all time.
Bollywood return
Meanwhile, is Fawad making Bollywood comeback with 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3'?
Fawad, known for his performances in Bollywood films like Khoobsurat and Kapoor & Sons, had put his Indian cinema career on hold following the 2016 Uri attacks and subsequent border closures.
However, he is reportedly set to make a cameo appearance in Kartik Aaryan's upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee.
The film, set to hit theaters on November 1, also stars Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan.
