Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is reportedly set to make a comeback in Bollywood after a hiatus of eight years. He will be seen sharing screen space with Jawan actor Ridhi Dogra in an upcoming rom-com drama, reported Hindustan Times. The project is currently in its early stages, with the supporting cast yet to be finalized.
Khan, Dogra's film to be shot in international locations
According to a source, the upcoming project is a romantic comedy-drama. The film is currently in its initial stages, with the paperwork only recently completed. The source also revealed that the shooting of the film will take place in several international locations. "The project will be shot in several locations including New York (US) and London (UK). It matches the theme of their romcom drama," said the source.
Film's release planned for late 2025 or early 2026
The source further disclosed that the shooting of the untitled project is yet to begin. The film's production is expected to start by the end of 2024, with a tentative release date set for late 2025 or early 2026. However, the director's name and other details about the project remain undisclosed. Notably, a few months ago, it was reported that Khan would star alongside Vaani Kapoor in an untitled project, but there are no updates on that front.
Khan's previous Bollywood projects and collaborations
Khan has previously worked in Bollywood films such as Khoobsurat (2014) Kapoor & Sons (2016), and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). His 2022 film The Legend of Maula Jatt is awaiting Indian release on October 2, albeit reportedly only in Punjab. Dogra, on the other hand, gained recognition through television and has since appeared in films like Jawan and Tiger 3.
