Fatima admits failure of 'Thugs Of Hindostan' left her heartbroken
When Fatima Sana Shaikh was roped in for Aamir Khan's Thugs Of Hindostan, she was on cloud nine. Everyone hoped TOH would witness a dream run at box office, just like Dangal. But things didn't happen as expected and TOH ended up becoming a disaster. In fact, Aamir owned up to the failure. And now Fatima has expressed her feelings.
We tried making a good film, says Fatima
Expressing her dejection on the reception of Thugs Of Hindostan, Fatima said that although the movie failed to impress the audience, they tried their best to make a good film. "It is very heartbreaking because we all tried our best to make a good film. But unfortunately, people didn't like it. I'm just feeling very bad about this," she said.
'Thugs of Hindostan' was rejected by audience and critics, unanimously
Notably, TOH was tipped to be one of the biggest movies of 2018. That's what one expects from an ensemble cast of Aamir, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima. However, the movie was rejected both by the audience and critics. While TOH was made at a budget of Rs. 300 crore, it struggled to earn even Rs. 150 crore at the box office.
Aamir Khan apologized for 'TOH' debacle
Upset with the massive failure of TOH, Aamir took full responsibility for the disaster and apologized to the audience for disappointing them. "We realize that most of the people did not like the film. I want to apologize to fans that I couldn't entertain them the way they wanted. I would like to take full responsibility for that," Mr. Perfectionist had said earlier.
