He also collaborated with Mehra for 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'
Interestingly, Toofan will mark Farhan's second collaboration with Mehra. The actor-director duo had last worked together in another sports drama, the 2013 release Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, a biopic based on Indian athlete Milkha Singh. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag turned out to be a huge critical and commercial hit. Given Farhan's stellar performance in that film, fans have their hopes high for Toofan as well.
"We have always been bouncing ideas off each other"
Talking about this collaboration, the filmmaker expressed his excitement about working with him again. "I can't talk much because we haven't even started shooting. We're planning to go on the floors by the end of the year. Both Farhan and I are getting to work with each other after six years. We have always been bouncing ideas off each other," Mehra once stated.
Farhan's 'The Sky Is Pink' will release on October 11
Meanwhile, Farhan is gearing up for the release of The Sky Is Pink opposite Priyanka Chopra. The movie happens to be a love story of a couple - Aditi and Niren Chaudhary - spanning 25 years, and is told by their teenage daughter Aisha Chaudhary, who was diagnosed with a terminal illness.
