Farah Khan to replace Salman as 'Bigg Boss 13' host?
Superstar Salman Khan has become synonymous with the popular Colors TV reality show Bigg Boss. So, when news broke that he would be stepping down as the host for the extended episodes of the ongoing 13th season of the show, fans and contestants were naturally taken aback. And now, latest buzz suggests that filmmaker Farah Khan will be replacing him as the host.
'Bigg Boss 13' has been extended by five weeks
Notably, Bigg Boss 13 has been extended by five weeks, and its finale is now scheduled for February 15, 2020. This is why, Salman, who is bound by prior work commitments, cannot continue as the show host. Thus, Farah, who has previously hosted the Season 8 of the said show, has been approached to be Salman's replacement.
Farah had previously hosted 'Bigg Boss 8'
Previously, when Farah hosted Bigg Boss 8, she had said that although there were apprehensions about her stint, it eventually turned out well. "I'm relieved with the response. There were some apprehensions, which were not from my side, but yes I think it was big shoes to fill in. I'm glad that all is well that ends well (sic)," she had told IANS.
Reportedly, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor were also approached
Some media reports also suggested that Bollywood biggies like Karan Johar and Anil Kapoor were also approached to host the remaining episodes of Bigg Boss 13, but both of them have declined the offer.
Shefali Jariwala, Sidharth Shukla, Paras Chhabra still in the race
The news about the show's extension was announced by Salman on Sunday's Weekend Ka Vaar episode. The contestants who are still in the race to lift the coveted trophy are Shefali Jariwala, Sidharth Shukla, Vishal Aditya Singh, Shehnaaz Gill, Himanshi Khurrana, Hindustani Bhau, Asim Riaz, Paras Chhabra, Rashami Desai, Arti Singh and Mahira Sharma.
Salman to get busy with the filming of 'Radhe'
Salman had to bid farewell to Bigg Boss, as he will be busy with the shooting of his upcoming Eid 2020 release Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The movie, helmed by Prabhu Deva, also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, and Jackie Shroff, among others.
