Farah Khan Ali and DJ Aqeel end 22-year-long marriage
Sussanne Khan's sister Farah Khan Ali and her husband DJ Aqeel have announced their separation after 22 years of marriage. The jewelry designer made the announcement on Instagram, stressing that "sometimes people grow apart." She also said that the couple is "happily separated." Ali and Aqeel had gotten married in February 1999. Their decision to part ways got support from their friends.
'Status of our relationship changed nine years ago'
Ali, in her post, wrote that it has been nine years since her relationship with Aqeel changed its status. They went from being a couple to just friends. She further wrote that they will always remain each other's best friends, and parents to their children. She also clarified that the separation decision was mutual and that no third person was involved.

Ali mentioned that their children, son Azaan and daughter Fizaa, love both their parents equally and have accepted the fact that they cannot stay as a couple any longer. Aqeel and I will always remain family, she added. "We hold no animosity of any kind toward one another and will always be there for each other," she wrote.

"It's important to be happy and we all, Farah and I including our children and families most definitely are," his post read. Sussanne left a "Love u both" comment on Ali's post.
Ali is Sanjay Khan's daughter, Zayed's sister
Ali is the daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Khan and interior designer Zarine Khan. Sussane and Ali have two other siblings — Bollywood actor Zayed Khan and Simone Arora. Separately, Aqeel is a known face in the music industry and got stardom with hits like Disco 82 and Tu Hai Wahi. He is also the owner of Hype nightclub in Mumbai's Worli area.
