Mark Ruffalo references finger snap in Josh Brolin's birthday wish
Avengers: Endgame is going to hit theaters on April 26 and fans cannot wait to find out how Avengers reunite after the catastrophic finger snap by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, which wiped out half the universe's population. Naturally, fans were shocked to see Mark Ruffalo who plays Hulk, referencing the snap while wishing Josh Brolin, who plays Thanos, on his birthday. Read on.
In a snap, it will be over, Ruffalo wishes Brolin
When Ruffalo is not playing the green rage monster in the movies, the actor has a quirky sense of humor in real life. This was most evident when he took to Twitter to wish his Marvel Cinematic Universe villainous co-star Brolin on February 13, saying, "Happy Birthday to my Brother, Josh Brolin. Keep living the Dream. In a snap, it will be over".

Ruffalo was referring to the finger snap or Decimation
The finger snap that Ruffalo casually referred to in his tweet, has come to be known as Decimation within the MCU. To maintain balance in the universe, Thanos set about collecting the Infinity Gems so he could finger snap half the universe's population, including some of our beloved Avengers, into oblivion. Fans getting over the shock of Thanos' action took unkindly to Ruffalo's reference.
Twitter fans were shocked by Ruffalo's wish
The Twitterati seemed shocked by Ruffalo's cavalier attitude towards the finger snap. One of them commented, "I'm going to pretend you didn't say that" in reply to Ruffalo's tweet, while another said, "This seems like an act of aggression". Several users shared GIFs with shocked expressions. A user also posted a picture of Chris Evans, who plays Captain America, captioned, 'Nervous laugh'.

Despite on-screen enmity, Ruffalo and Brolin are great friends
Ruffalo's Hulk might have had the living daylights beaten out of him by Brolin's Thanos in Infinity War, but the two are great friends in real life. While we wait to see if Hulk will return for revenge in Endgame, fans should know that Ruffalo convinced Brolin to play Thanos, saying, "...you'll just be absolutely blown away by the stuff you were doing".
