5 things to know of 'Radhe Shyam' before its release
Prabhas and Pooja Hegde's much-anticipated prophetic love story Radhe Shyam is finally premiering on the big screens on March 11. The Telugu pan-Indian venture has seen several drawbacks, be it a prolonged production period or multiple postponements, courtesy the COVID-19 pandemic. But, now as the Radha Krishna Kumar directorial is nearing its worldwide release date, here is all we know about Radhe Shyam.
Amitabh Bachchan roped in for voiceover
Latest things first, veteran superstar Amitabh Bachchan has been brought in to do the voiceover in this love saga. Announcing the same, the official social media handles of Radhe Shyam extended their gratitude to Big B for giving narration on Tuesday. This marks Bachchan's second collaboration with Rebel Star Prabhas, given the actors are sharing the screen in another anticipated venture, Project K.

Makers kickstarted promotions on Valentine's Day
Radhe Shyam is about a couple in a romance that transcends life and death. Hence, it was only fitting that makers cash in on the biggest celebration of love, Valentine's Day. On February 14, the team kickstarted the film's promotions and shared a "small sneak peek," which they termed the Valentine Glimpse. As a part of it, some scenes of the movie were released.
'Radhe Shyam' getting released two weeks before 'RRR'
Coming to the theatrical premiere schedule, the film was looking forward to January 14 release date, but the rise in COVID-19 cases and the imposition of lockdown restrictions halted that plan. Then, at the beginning of this month, we got a new launch date. Now, Radhe Shyam will be hitting the silver screen two weeks before another giant pan-Indian movie, SS Rajamouli's RRR.
Tragic love story with reincarnation spin is in store
Coming to the story, its trailer, launched at a grand event in December 2021, gave us a good idea about what to expect. We got a look at "Einstein of palmistry" Vikramaditya (Prabhas), who unwittingly falls in love with Prerna (Hegde). Set in the 1970-80s Europe, we understood the pair's love won't be easy to sustain and that reincarnation is a part of tale.
#5: Meet the rest of the cast and crew
Radhe Shyam will also star Bhagyashree, Murali Sharma, Priyadarshi, Krishnam Raju, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. While Thaman S is helming the background score, Justin Prabhakaran has composed the songs. Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao has managed the editing.
