Emmys 2024: Billy Crudup wins Outstanding Actor in Drama Series
Billy Crudup, known for his role as Cory Ellison in Apple TV+'s The Morning Show, has won his second Emmy Award. He was honored with the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday morning (IST). This is not the first time Crudup has received this accolade; he previously won the same award in 2020 and was nominated again in 2022.
'The Morning Show' dominated Emmy nominations
The Morning Show has been a significant contender at the Emmy Awards, with several of Crudup's co-stars also nominated in various categories. The show itself is up for Outstanding Drama Series. Among those nominated alongside Crudup for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama were his co-stars Mark Duplass and Jon Hamm. This marked the second nomination for Duplass, who plays Chip Black in the series.
Hamm received dual nominations at the Emmys
Hamm, who joined The Morning Show in its third season as Paul Marks, was also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for his performance in Fargo. This year marked Hamm's 18th Emmy nomination. He previously won the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2015 for his portrayal of Don Draper in Mad Men.
