A unique tale of self-discovery and liberation
Poor Things follows the journey of Bella Baxter (played by Stone), a young Victorian woman who is revived after committing suicide by the genius scientist, Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Bella sets out on a path of self-discovery and sexual freedom with Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a hedonistic lawyer. The movie, based on Alasdair Gray's 1992 novel of the same name, also features Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, and Jerrod Carmichael.
