Elton John left with limited vision after 'severe eye infection'
British singer-songwriter Sir Elton John has revealed that he is recovering following a "severe eye infection" earlier this year. The 77-year-old music legend shared the news on social media, where he also expressed his gratitude for the medical team and his family who have been taking care of him. He added that his recovery is a slow process and will take time.
John currently has 'limited vision in one eye'
In an Instagram post, John wrote, "Over the summer, I've been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye." He added, "I am healing, but it's an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye." The singer has been recuperating at home during this time.
'Feeling positive about the progress I've made'
John further wrote, "I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks." He added, "I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home and feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far."
