According to a now-deleted report by Bollywood Life, Kapoor—who welcomed her son Ravie through surrogacy in 2019—believes "he needs a sibling." However, conflicting these claims, another source close to Kapoor refuted the rumors, dispelling any notions of her planning for a second child. Here's what exactly happened.

In a now-deleted report, a source disclosed Kapoor's purported plans for expanding her family through surrogacy. The insider remarked, "Ektaa's son Ravie Kapoor is 5 years old and she feels he needs a sibling, as Ekta has lived that life." "Tusshar Kapoor and she share the greatest bond as siblings and they always each other's back. And Ektaa feels that Ravie her elder son shouldn't have the emptiness of a sibling bonding...she has thought of welcoming another baby soon."

The Times of India quoted a source close to Kapoor who expressed dismay over the spread of false information, and stated, "It's unacceptable to spread false information just for the sake of clicks in an exclusive article." "Respectfully, journalists should verify facts with the team before publishing." Further, the insider added, "It's absolutely funny and laughable that people come up with these news."

In 2019, Kapoor announced the arrival of her son. Interestingly, Tusshar also welcomed a son—Laksshya Kapoor—via surrogacy during the same year. For many years, Kapoor has been subject to gossip regarding her single status. Once in an interview, she disclosed that her decision to forgo marriage stemmed from advice given by her father—veteran actor Jeetendra. He presented her with a choice between pursuing a married life with freedom or dedicating herself to work. Kapoor opted for the latter.
