Sharvari Wagh or simply Sharvari, known for her role in the horror-comedy film Munjya, has been making headlines not just for her acting prowess but also for her luxurious lifestyle and political connections. Born in 1996 to builder Shailesh Wagh and architect Namrata Wagh, Sharvari's early life was rooted in Mumbai where she attended The Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School before enrolling in Ruparel College for higher studies.
Sharvari's political lineage and early career
Sharvari has a strong political connection, with ex-Maharashtra Chief Minister (1995 to 1999), Manohar Joshi, being her maternal grandfather. Her acting career began with Amazon Prime Video's show The Forgotten Army-Azaadi Ke Liye in 2020. Before stepping into the limelight as an actor, she worked behind the scenes as an assistant director on several movie projects including Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Bajirao Mastani, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Her big-screen debut came with Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2021.
Sharvari's recent success and upcoming projects
Her recent success with Munjya has been remarkable. The film, which was made on a budget of ₹30 crore, crossed the ₹100 crore mark at the box office and surpassed the collections of Akshay Kumar's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan. Sharvari has been part of Netflix's historical courtroom drama Maharaj. Looking ahead, Wagh will star alongside John Abraham in the action thriller Vedaa. She is also collaborating with Alia Bhatt for a female-led spy thriller, Alpha.
Sharvari's luxurious lifestyle off-screen
Off-screen, Sharvari leads a luxurious lifestyle. She resides in a plush Mumbai apartment that offers a stunning view of the city. Her home is tastefully decorated with wooden furniture, a piano, vintage chairs, and a wall adorned with Bollywood posters and dialogues. In 2024, she bought a stylish Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV worth around ₹74.2 lakh, reported GQ India.
