What's the story
English pop sensation Ed Sheeran made a surprise appearance at singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh's recent concert in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
The unexpected collaboration comes six months after Dosanjh joined Sheeran on stage during his Mumbai concert, where the latter sang in Punjabi for the first time.
The duo's performance at the Birmingham concert is part of Dosanjh's ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour.

Sheeran's stage entry during Dosanjh's performance
Dosanjh and Sheeran shared a joint Instagram Reel from the concert, where Dosanjh can be seen performing in an all-white ensemble.
He then announced Sheeran's arrival on stage, much to the delight of the audience.
Sheeran, dressed in a black T-shirt, dark gray track pants, and light orange sneakers, joined Dosanjh on stage and began strumming his guitar to his hit song Shape of You.
Performance
Duo's mashup of 'Shape of You' and 'Naina'
Dosanjh later joined Sheeran on stage and they performed a mashup of Shape of You and Dosanjh's popular song Naina from the recent Bollywood blockbuster heist comedy Crew.
The unexpected collaboration left the audience in awe as the two artists complemented each other's styles.
One fan commented, "2024 is the year of epic collabs" while another said, "Ed Sheeran is now a Punjabi."

Sheeran's previous collaborations with Indian artists
Earlier in March this year, Dosanjh had joined Sheeran on stage during the latter's Mumbai concert.
The two performed Dosanjh's hit track Lover, with Sheeran joining in the chorus. This marked a significant moment as fans were stunned to hear Sheeran sing in Punjabi.
In addition to Dosanjh, Sheeran also recently collaborated with singer Arijit Singh during a concert in London.
He was also a guest on The Kapil Sharma Show's first season.
