Dulquer Salmaan to star in R Balki's psychological thriller
Actor Dulquer Salmaan is set to collaborate with director R Balki on a feature film, veteran cinematographer PC Sreeram has announced. Billed as a psychological thriller, the project also reunites Dulquer and Sreeram after the 2015 hit romance drama O Kadhal Kanmani. Dulquer, who predominantly features in Malayalam films, has also worked in Hindi movies like Karwaan and The Zoya Factor.

The Director of Photography, who is one of the founding members of the Indian Society of Cinematographers (ISC), is known for his collaborations with Mani Ratnam and Balki.

Dulquer played a gangster named Harilal in his debut film Second Show and several critics weren't impressed with his acting skills. The film did well commercially despite receiving mixed reviews from critics. His second film, Ustad Hotel, fetched Dulquer praise from all quarters and the film went on to receive the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
