The upcoming film Kaantha, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Bhagyashri Borse, has officially commenced production. The launch was marked by a traditional pooja ceremony in Hyderabad on Sunday. This project also signifies a significant collaboration between actor-producer Rana Daggubati and director Selvamani Selvaraj. Images from the event have been circulating on social media.
'Kaantha' stars and producer dazzle in traditional attire
The photos from the event showcase Salmaan, Daggubati, and Borse dressed in traditional Indian outfits. Salmaan is seen wearing a white kurta-pajama set with subtle embroidery, complemented by sunglasses and a wristwatch. Daggubati also chose a similar white kurta paired with a beige shawl draped over his shoulder, enhancing his look with a thick beard and sunglasses. Borse looked elegant in a cream-colored saree paired with a golden blouse and minimal jewelry including a choker necklace.
'Kaantha' to be produced in multiple languages
Kaantha is set to be a multilingual film, with Salmaan and Borse in the lead roles. The production will be a joint venture between Salmaan's Wayfarer Films and Daggubati's Spirit Media. Announcing the film, Salmaan earlier wrote, "Ever so rarely, we find a story that consumes us and reminds us of the power of good cinema." "Kaantha is the project that brought us together... Welcome to the world of Kaantha."
'Kaantha' might be shot in black and white
According to a report by 123Telugu, there is speculation that Kaantha may be filmed in black and white, similar to Mammootty's Bramayugam. However, the filmmakers have not yet confirmed this information. In the meantime, Salmaan is also preparing for the release of his upcoming film Lucky Baskhar, which is set to be released during Diwali.
