Farhan Akhtar confirms 'Don 3' shoot will begin this year

Filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar has confirmed the much-anticipated action drama, Don 3, will go on floors later this year.
Speaking exclusively to India Today, he said, "I am not dodging any questions. Don 3 is starting this year."
The film will see Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani in leading roles. This will be the first time Singh and Advani will share screen space.
Production progress
'Don 3' pre-production work is currently underway
The pre-production work for Don 3 is underway. The film is set to begin production in March, as both Akhtar and Singh are busy with other projects.
Singh is currently also busy with Aditya Dhar's untitled next project and with his father duties.
This news comes two years after Don 3 was first announced in 2023, keeping fans on the edge of their seats for updates.

Meanwhile, Akhtar is currently filming his next project on the Indian Army, 120 Bahadur. The film is a biopic based on Param Vir Chakra awardee, the late Major Shaitan Singh Bhati.
He also has a production project Superboys of Malegaon releasing on Friday. The film, helmed by Reema Kagti and written by Varun Grover, has an impressive cast including Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, and Anuj Singh Duhan.

Uncertainty surrounds Akhtar's project 'Jee Le Zaraa'
When questioned about the highly awaited project Jee Le Zaraa, which was announced with an all-star cast of Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Katrina Kaif, Akhtar admitted that the film's timeline wasn't set.
He said, "Many dates have to be coordinated. That's perhaps for another time."
While this left fans hopeful, it also sparked curiosity about when they can expect the film to take off.
