'You'll see lot more of me': Divyenndu teases upcoming projects
Divyenndu, last seen in the critically acclaimed Madgaon Express, is on a journey of reinventing himself. The actor, who has gained significant recognition due to his comedic roles, is looking forward to the release of multiple projects across genres. He told Mid-Day, "You will see a lot more of me because I have worked non-stop for the past two years."
'It's painful for people to approach me'
Divyenndu expressed his interest in exploring various genres. He stated, "It's a defect in me that I like to do something different after I have worked in one genre." "Comedy offers keep coming in. I'm also known for being choosy. I take my own sweet time to commit to a project. It's painful for people to approach me and I don't blame them."
His upcoming projects are all different from one another
Among Divyenndu's future projects is Rahul Dholakia's Agni, which will see him reunite with Madgaon Express co-star Pratik Gandhi. He is also slated to star in a Disney+ Hotstar series, tentatively titled Castle, portraying an affluent character grappling with life issues. Furthermore, he will be seen in a project named Tatkal, based on the Tatkal ticket scam, marking his debut as a Bihari character. Another upcoming project is a psychological thriller.
Divyenndu is mindful about movies' financial recovery
Speaking about the importance of box office performance of movies, the actor said, "When you prove yourself at the box office, people feel they can put money on you. I'm mindful that my producer must recover his money." Madgaon Express, directed by Kunal Kemmu, was a decent grosser and reportedly made over ₹35cr. Meanwhile, a few months ago, Divyenndu broke several hearts after announcing that he isn't a part of the upcoming Mirzapur 3.
