Dipika Kakar is 'proud' of her conversion to Islam
Dipika Kakar has been hogging the limelight for the past few days, courtesy her marriage with Shoaib Ibrahim. The pictures of their wedding are all over the Internet as the fans cannot seem to have enough of the couple. Notably, the 'Sasural Simar Ka' actress had converted to Islam and changed her name to Faiza for the inter-religion marriage.
On her decision to change her religion
For Dipika, it is an extremely personal matter as she says, "It's true I have done it, but why and when I have done it, don't think it needs to be talked about." "We have always shared everything with the audience and media, but this is a very personal space and I don't give anyone the permission to enter it," she added.
The couple got hitched on 22 February
Dipika and Shoaib, who co-starred in 'Sasural Simar Ka', tied the knot in a private ceremony last month. The wedding was held in Shoaib's hometown, Bhopal, as per Muslim traditions. The couple had confessed that it was after Shoaib's exit from the show that they realized their love for each other.
