Delhi woman duped of ₹15,000 in Diljit Dosanjh concert scam
Despite a warning from the Delhi Police about online scams related to singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh's upcoming Dil-Luminati concert, a woman from the national capital and her friend were reportedly duped of ₹15,000 and ₹6,000 respectively. The scammer allegedly used an Aadhaar card to gain their trust. The victims have since filed a complaint and taken to social media to caution others about such frauds.
This is how the scammer gained victim's trust
According to the woman, the scammer, who identified himself as Dharmendra Singh (Crigyan07), used "relevant screenshots including his ID proof to make it look real." Despite acknowledging that it was "foolish" to trust him, she fell for the scam and lost ₹15,000. Her friend also lost ₹6,000 in the process. She alleged many more X users had fallen prey to this fraud. The woman has since filed a complaint and posted her ordeal online to warn others.
Woman urges followers to pressure scammer into refunding money
The woman attempted to contact Singh using a different number, but was unsuccessful. She has also been blocked by him on all social media platforms. Despite this, she is using her online following to put pressure on the scammer. She urged her followers to send multiple messages to Singh, hoping that he might return the money out of fear or shame. On Thursday, she gave an update on the issue, hinting that she wasn't able to retrieve the money.

Still, netizens have been circulating the woman's tweet as a cautionary tale against such scams. Many have warned fans not to purchase tickets through unverified sources, regardless of what the seller claims. The Dil-Luminati tour has been part of many controversies. Earlier, a fan served a legal notice to Dosanjh after failing to secure tickets. High prices of Indian show tickets have also raised the eyebrows of many fans.
