Dilip Kumar's health deteriorates, actor put on ventilator
Legendary actor Dilip Kumar who had been admitted to Bandra's Lilavati Hospital on August 2 suffering dehydration and urinary infection, now remains critical. The 94-year-old actor has been put on a ventilator following renal failure. Post the rise in creatinine levels in his blood, the complications have increased.
Kidney functions haven't improved, say doctors
Doctors at the Lilavati Hospital expressed concerns over the actor's deteriorating condition. Dr. Jalil Parkar who is monitoring Dilip Kumar said the actor's kidney functions have worsened. Doctors said following renal failure, the heart and lungs might also get affected. Meanwhile, cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale along with a team of nephrologists and physicians are treating the actor.

Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu remains hopeful and said that the actor was recovering well. Saira was heard saying that the veteran actor was slowly recovering as the doctors were taking good care of him.
