Resurfaced clip shows Diddy predicting his arrest for wild parties
Rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who was recently arrested on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, had predicted his arrest over two decades ago. Surprisingly, in a 1999 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Diddy spoke about his wild parties and how they could potentially land him in trouble with the law. To note, the 54-year-old rapper was arrested on September 16 in connection with these parties.
'We ain't going to stop...we gonna keep on having fun'
During the 1999 interview, Diddy said, "They won't even give me a permit for the parties. And they don't want me to throw the parties no more." "But we ain't going to stop. We gonna keep on having fun. Bringing people together from all walks of life." Diddy further predicted, "They gonna be shutting them down. They gonna probably be arresting me—doing all types of crazy things just because we want to have a good time."
Diddy's other past interviews under renewed scrutiny
Following Diddy's arrest, his other past interviews are also being re-examined. Interestingly, in a 2002 interview with Conan O'Brien, the controversial rapper joked about locking women inside his parties. He said, "A lot of ladies drink water at parties, so if you don't have what they need, they're going to leave. Got to keep them there, you need locks on the doors."
Diddy's 'freak off' parties central to federal case
The federal case against Diddy alleges that he held "freak off" parties where he would lure female victims to engage in sexual acts with male sex workers. The women were allegedly supplied with illegal drugs and their performances were recorded for potential blackmail. Despite the serious nature of these allegations, Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges. He is currently being held at a federal detention facility in Brooklyn while awaiting trial.
Diddy's parties were attended by A-list celebrities
In addition to the alleged "freak off" parties, Diddy also hosted other high-profile events such as his famous Hamptons White Party. These parties were attended by celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyoncé, Jay Z, Jennifer Lopez, Drake, Justin Bieber, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Kelly Osbourne, Tommy Lee, Pamela Anderson, and Vera Wang. However, there is no evidence to suggest that any of these celebrities knew about or participated in the alleged drug use or sexual activities at Diddy's parties.
