#ComicBytes: Five Marvel heroes who used to be villains
Comics always believe that everybody can change for the better. Remember Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch from Avengers: Age of Ultron? Marvel has always had a soft corner for those who used to be villains with a spot of evil but have turned heroes now. Give people second chances, and believe in them as you read five Marvel heroes who used to villains earlier.
Emma Frost: One of X-Men's greatest foes to team leader
Emma Frost is not only one of the richest persons in the Marvel Universe, but she is also an extremely powerful mutant. A powerful telepath, she used to be the queen of the Hellfire Club and mentored wayward mutants, turning them against the X-Men. At one time a dangerous foe to X-Men, she joined them after her sister's murder and became the team leader.
Namor the Submariner: From villainous jerk to Nazi punching superhero
Namor first appeared in Marvel in 1939 and he was a good old fashioned villain. He could control the seas and threatened to drown cities and picked fights with superheroes. However, his powers and motivations of preserving his home in the waters fascinated fans. Thus comic creators worked off his popularity and made him a Nazi-fighting hero during USA's entry in World War II.
Elektra: The assassin, the lover and the hero
Elektra first appeared in Daredevil as Matt Murdock's enemy. A deadly sai-wielding assassin, Daredevil promptly fell in love with her. The ambiguous fascinating backstory of the character piqued fans' interest as well. As a result, her character was allowed to grow organically. She would appear as daredevil's sidekick while occasionally also fighting him. However, nowadays, Elektra is a full-fledged hero in the comic books.
Falcon: From criminal to Avenger, a journey to remember
Falcon has been a hero long enough for fans to have forgotten his villainous roots. However, Samuel Wilson saw his parents get murdered and the angry young man became a criminal known as 'Snap' Wilson. An encounter with Red Skull however causes his memory to get wiped, and he becomes Falcon, joining Captain America's side and later picking up the mantle of Captain America.
Rogue: One of the most dangerous mutants, changes sides
Rogue is one of the most favorite and important characters of the X-Men. Therefore, fans easily forget that she was once a feared foe. With the ability to absorb anyone's powers with a single touch, Rogue is also one of the deadliest mutants. Taken under the wing and nurtured by Mystique, Rogue continued to battle the X-Men before changing sides and becoming a hero.
