#ComicBytes: Five impossible things Batman has done
Batman is the iconic DC superhero who has always fascinated us by fighting criminals more powerful than him by relying solely on his wit and resources. However, over years in comics, the caped crusader has pulled off several feats that make the masked vigilante seem more like a superhero than a billionaire in a bat costume. Read about five impossible things Batman has done.
Batman endures a beating from Reverse Flash, lands few shots
The Reverse Flash is like an evil version of Flash in the comics. Completely ruthless, this speedster can bring the pain with his punches. In Batman (Volume 3) #21, Reverse Flash takes on the Batman in the bat-cave. Not only does the caped crusader absorb an intense session of hurt, but also manages to land a few shots despite the Reverse Flash's speed.
Batman, while pursuing Joker, is undamaged by bazooka fire
In Batman (Volume 2) #15, the caped crusader is in hot pursuit of the clown prince of crime, after being put through the wringer by the latter. During his pursuit, Batman lets nothing get in his way, not even bazooka fire, as he seems to emerge unscathed from a direct bazooka hit, and continues chasing the Joker. This impossible act takes the cake!
Batman defeats his entire rogues' gallery
In Shadow of the Bat (Volume 1) #4 Batman is locked up in Arkham Asylum by Jeremiah Arkham, who sets Batman's entire rogues' gallery on him. The villains include Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Joker, Riddler, Mad Hatter and Two-Face among others. Batman emerges from this fight victorious with only visible damage to his costume. Without missing a beat, he continues his pursuit of Jeremiah.
Batman kills Darkseid, breaking his policy
Batman should not be able to take on Darkseid, who is a New God with powers that gives Superman a tough time. However, in Final Crisis #6, Batman breaks his no gun policy and loads it with a radion bullet. Taking a pot shot, Batman manages to hit Darkseid, fatally wounding the lord of Apokolips, something that no man has been able to do.
David vs Goliath fight: Batman defeats Superman
Batman and Superman is the classic David versus Goliath fight. Realistically, Batman shouldn't be able to defeat the Man of Steel. However, Batman pulls out all stops, using a special suit, plenty of weapons and even connecting himself to the power grid of Gotham to unleash a powerful volt on Superman. Ultimately, he emerges victorious, warning Clark to remember the man who beat him.
