Why Aishwarya, Abhishek took 4 months to name Aaradhya
Bollywood couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in 2011. However, did you know, it took them nearly four months to finalize a name for their baby girl? The reason behind this delay was revealed by Abhishek in an old interview. He explained that they wanted to ensure the name they chose was special and held a significant meaning.
Abhishek, Aishwarya wanted a unique name for their daughter
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Abhishek revealed that he and Aishwarya wanted a unique and meaningful name for their daughter. They decided on the name 'Aaradhya,' which means 'one who is worshiped or worth worshiping' in Sanskrit. The couple felt this name was perfect as it reflected their feelings toward their child. However, they took their time to finalize it to ensure its uniqueness.
Aaradhya's name was registered only after it cleared numerology test
Apart from its uniqueness, Aaradhya's name was also subjected to a numerology test before it was finalized. Abhishek and Aishwarya consulted a numerologist to ensure the name would bring good luck and prosperity to their daughter. Only after the name cleared this test, it was officially registered. This entire process took about four months, explaining the delay in announcing Aaradhya's name post her birth.
Aaradhya is often seen accompanying her parents at events
Aaradhya, who is now 13 years old, is often seen accompanying her parents at various events and functions. She has also made several public appearances with her grandfather, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. On Sunday, the star kid was spotted with her mother in Dubai, attending the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2024. Aishwarya was honored with the Best Actress (Critics Choice) in a Leading Role award for her performance in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: II.
