Dia Mirza, Sahil Sangha call off their four-year-old marriage
Dia Mirza has called off her four-year-old marriage with producer-director Sahil Sangha. The couple shared a joint statement about their separation on social media. "After 11 years of sharing our lives and being together, we have mutually decided to separate," the statement read. Notably, Dia and Sahil dated each other for seven years before tying the knot in October 2014.

In her statement, Dia mentioned that it was a mutual decision and that the two would remain friends. "We'll continue to be there for each other with love and respect," she added. The Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein actress also mentioned that while the two will be on different paths henceforth, "we are forever grateful for the bond that we share with each other."
Dia, Sahil request everyone to respect their privacy
Dia and Sahil however refused to divulge anything about the reason behind their separation, while asking everyone to respect their privacy. "We thank our family and our friends for all their love and understanding and members of the media for their continued support and request everyone to respect our need for privacy at this time," the actress concluded.

For the uninitiated, Dia married Sahil on October 18, 2014, after being in a relationship for around seven years. The couple had tied the knot in an Arya Samaj wedding ceremony in Delhi, which was attended by their close friends. "It was a beautiful Arya Samaj ceremony. The vows were explained to us. It was a dream wedding," Dia was quoted as saying.
