'Devara' smashes records with $800K pre-sales before trailer even drops!
The upcoming film Devara Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva and featuring stars Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, is making waves with its record-breaking advance ticket sales in North America. The movie has already amassed nearly $800K from its premieres alone—18 days before its official release on September 27. This achievement is particularly notable as the film's trailer hasn't been released yet and bookings aren't open at AMC—one of North America's largest cinema chains.
'Devara' is expected to cross $3M in premieres
The advanced bookings for Devara: Part 1 suggest a strong possibility of the film surpassing a phenomenal $3M in premieres. As of now, the film's overall advanced bookings have reached around $850K in North America. In the US alone, Devara has already earned over $777K (₹6.52cr) by selling nearly 26K tickets from its almost 900 shows. Meanwhile, in Canada, the collection currently stands at over $49K—bringing the total North American collection to approximately $827K (₹6.74cr).
'Devara Part 1' marks Telugu debut for Khan, Kapoor
Devara Part 1 is a significant film as it marks the Telugu debut for both Khan and Kapoor. On August 16, the makers unveiled Khan's first look as Bhaira. Originally planned as a single film, the decision to split Devara into two parts was made a few months ago. While Khan plays the villain in the first part, Bobby Deol will join him in the second installment of this series, reportedly.

The much-anticipated trailer of Devara is set to be released on Tuesday (September 10). This news was confirmed by the makers through a social media post on Saturday (September 7), along with a new poster featuring Jr NTR in a fierce avatar. The film is scheduled for its premiere shows on September 27 in the North American circuit, where it is expected to take an opening of $1.5M.
