'Devara' aims for ₹100cr opening; pre-sales cross ₹28cr in India
The forthcoming film Devara Part 1, featuring Jr NTR in the lead role, is set to make a significant impact at the box office this weekend. The action-packed movie has already opened for advance booking ahead of its Friday release and is projected to earn over ₹100cr worldwide on its opening day, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. To note, this is NTR's first release after SS Rajamouli's RRR (2022).
'Devara Part 1' pre-sales figures and cast details
As of Tuesday, Devara Part 1 had already sold over six lakh tickets across 6,000 shows in India alone, with pre-sales crossing ₹28cr. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan as the main antagonist. The original Telugu version of the film is leading in sales, accounting for more than 90% of the total.

Devara Part 1 is directed by Kortala Siva, known for his successful films like Srimanthudu, Mirchi, and Bharat Ane Nenu. The film also features Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, and Murali Sharma in significant roles. Interestingly, this film marks the Telugu debut for both Khan and Kapoor.
'Devara Part 1' release and future plans
Initially announced as a standalone movie, Devara was later divided into two parts. The first part is set to hit cinemas on Friday and will enjoy a solo release, including in the Hindi market. More shows are expected to be added in the next two days, with full-fledged advance bookings for the Hindi version opening on Wednesday.
