'Devara' witnesses significant drop on Monday; collects ₹173cr by Day-4
The box office collection of Devara: Part 1, featuring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, took a noticeable dip on Monday. The film, which had a fantastic opening with over ₹80 crore from the Indian market alone on Friday, saw its earnings drop by around 68% on Monday. However, despite this decline, the film's total collection in India now stands at ₹173.1 crore after four days of release.
'Devara: Part 1' still made a decent amount on Monday
On Monday, Devara: Part 1 raked in just ₹12.5 crore across all languages, with ₹8 crore from the Telugu version and about ₹4 crore from the Hindi version. Even with this dip in earnings, the film's total collection in India has reached ₹173.1 crore after four days of release. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film stars NTR in dual roles as father Devara and son Varada.
'Devara: Part 1' set new records despite decline
Despite a dip in collections, Devara: Part 1 is still breaking box office records. The film outdid the Telugu opening of Kalki 2898 AD with an initial collection of ₹82.5 crore on Friday, with ₹73.25 crore coming from the Telugu version alone. Plus, it became the second-biggest global opener after Transformer, raking in over ₹300 crore worldwide in just three days.
'Devara: Part 1' hopes to benefit from Gandhi Jayanti holiday
Despite the drop in collections, Devara: Part 1 is expected to benefit from the Gandhi Jayanti national holiday on Wednesday. This may lead to an increase in ticket sales for night shows on Tuesday and afternoon and evening shows on Wednesday. However, the film will face a major test post this holiday as Navratri nights may result in fewer people going to cinemas.
