Padukone to play Shakti Shetty in star-studded 'Singham Again'
In the forthcoming threequel, Padukone will be portraying the character of Shakti Shetty—the first female cop in Shetty's Cop Universe and reportedly Ajay Devgn's (Singham) sister. The highly-awaited film also features a star-studded ensemble of Singh, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor, among others. The movie is set to hit theaters on August 15, going head-to-head with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2.
Padukone's upcoming projects beyond 'Singham Again'
Singham Again aside, the 38-year-old actor is also set to star in the upcoming sci-fi fantasy film Kalki 2898 AD. She will be sharing the screen with actor Prabhas in this highly-anticipated movie. Originally scheduled for a May 9 premiere, the film's release is now uncertain due to the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, with Andhra Pradesh elections on May 12.
