Deepak Tijori launches music label, says it's an 'emotional initiative'
Actor-director Deepak Tijori has launched his own music label, Tijori Music, with the release of its first song Gumshuda. Tijori has partnered with Believe India, one of the leading distributors, to ensure his label reaches a global audience. In a recent interview, Tijori stated that his decision to launch his music label was influenced by a personal and challenging experience he had with his last film, Tipppsy, which was released in May.
'The process of releasing music for a film was eye-opener...'
Elaborating on his decision to launch Tijori Music, he reportedly stated, "As an independent filmmaker, I've always believed in creative freedom and having control over my work; but the process of releasing the music for a film was an eye-opener." "Closer to releasing the film in theaters, I had to close a deal for the film's music by selling the songs to a music label."
Tijori shocked by India's music market
Tijori shared his experience of approaching various known labels to sell the songs from his film, Tipppsy. He was taken aback by the current state of the music market in India. He said, "Even if I wanted to use my own song in another film of mine in the future, I would have to beg the label for permission. I was outright refused when asked if I could post the songs from my film on my own YouTube channel."
Tijori Music aims to provide platform for unheard artists
Further, Tijori, who rose to prominence with his role in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, expressed his desire to use Tijori Music as a platform for artists who go unheard and are looking for a place to showcase their talent. He said, "If a song aligns with our label's mandate and is approved by my team, we will offer these artists exposure and support without the typical barriers and complications."
Tijori Music's first single features actor Mandeep Kaur

The music video, which is set to release on Tuesday (September 10), features actor Mandeep Kaur and Australian actor Kumar.
