Deepak Kalal: News
A self-proclaimed comedian, Deepak Kalal rose to fame with his YouTube and Instagram videos. With his take on Kashmir and his proposed marriage to Rakhi Sawant, another controversial figure, Kalal has never failed to create a stir. Kalal was born in a middle-class Marathi family on October 19, 1972. He was unable to study beyond 10th grade due to financial constraints. He later attended Rizvi College of Hotel Management, Mumbai, for a Craftsmanship Course in cookery. It wasn’t, however, as a hotelier that he made his name. His videos on YouTube that were intended to make people laugh are what made him famous. In the early days, Kalal’s fans were mostly from Bangladesh and Pakistan. His popularity in India has been on the rise since he appeared in ‘India’s Got Talent’ in 2018. His wit and humor made him a fan favorite. In the same year, he created another riot on the internet with an Instagram post announcing his wedding with Rakhi Sawant. It was later understood that the spoof was planned by Sawant and Kalal to attract more people. He was invited to join the reality show ‘Big Boss 12’ but he chose to reject the invitation.
