Wolverine, Deadpool are entering MCU following Disney acquisition
In September 2022, Reynolds first disclosed on his YouTube channel that "a certain clawed hero" will be coming back in the upcoming Deadpool film. The announcement met with wide fan frenzy and they were fed with several promotional materials featuring both Deadpool and Wolverine, including an anti-cell phone PSA at CinemaCon. Notably, Disney's acquisition of X-Men characters' rights from 20th Century Fox in 2019 has paved the way for these characters to enter the MCU.

'Deadpool & Wolverine' will be first R-rated MCU film
Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, has confirmed that Deadpool & Wolverine will be a part of the MCU. However, it remains unclear if the entire film will take place within the universe.
