Ajay Devgn's 'De De Pyaar De 2' moves to Punjab
The sequel to Ajay Devgn's 2019 romantic comedy De De Pyaar De is set to be filmed in the picturesque and rustic locations of Punjab, reported ETimes. The film, titled De De Pyaar De 2, will reportedly continue from where its prequel left off, delving into the comedic scenarios within Rakul Preet Singh's family. The production team is currently preparing for a nearly two-month-long schedule in Punjab.
Cast and crew to begin Punjab schedule next month
According to a source cited by ETimes, the production team of De De Pyaar De 2 is gearing up for a 45-50 day filming schedule in Punjab. The cast, including R. Madhavan and Preet Singh, will reportedly travel to the state next month. Devgn is expected to join them later after wrapping up his commitments for Son of Sardar 2 in the United Kingdom.
Film is scripted by Luv Ranjan, Tarun Jain
De De Pyaar De 2 has been penned by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain and will be helmed by director Anshul Sharma. In this sequel, Singh's character will introduce Devgn's character to her family, with Madhavan portraying her father. This setup leads to a humorous rivalry between the two men, who are similar in age. De De Pyaar De 2 will mark the second collaboration between Devgn and Madhavan, following their previous project Shaitaan.
Devgn's upcoming projects include 'Singham Again,' 'Raid 2'
On the professional front, Devgn is also awaiting the release of Singham Again, slated for Diwali 2024. The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff, and is directed by Rohit Shetty. He also has Raid 2 in the pipeline, which also stars Vaani Kapoor.
