'De De Pyaar De 2' shoot halted for this reason
The filming of the sequel to the romantic comedy, De De Pyaar De, has been temporarily halted. The unexpected pause in production comes after director Anshul Sharma was diagnosed with dengue, reported Bollywood Hungama. The film, which marks the reunion of R Madhavan and Ajay Devgn following Shaitaan, had commenced shooting in Patiala before this setback.
'De De Pyaar De 2' team returns to Mumbai
The cast and crew of De De Pyaar De 2 had completed approximately a week's worth of filming before Sharma's health issues led to the halt. Initially, the shooting was planned to continue until mid-October. However, now, the team has returned to Mumbai. A source informed, "Once Anshul recovers, the team will plan a Mumbai shoot and resume the Patiala schedule at the earliest based on the actors' availability."
'De De Pyaar De 2' plot and character details
The sequel to De De Pyaar De will continue the narrative of Ashish and Ayesha, portrayed by Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh respectively. After receiving blessings from Ashish's family, the couple is set to meet Ayesha's relatives in this installment. Madhavan is rumored to play the role of Ayesha's stylish young father who is not convinced about Ashish as his son-in-law, leading to a series of humorous events. It will release on May 1, 2025.
