Dave Bautista boards dystopian thriller 'Dreadnought': Report

Guardians of the Galaxy and Dune star Dave Bautista is reportedly set to lead the cast of a new dystopian thriller called Dreadnought.
The film will be directed by Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott, who previously collaborated with Bautista on Bushwick.
The script for Dreadnought has been penned by Joseph Greenberg and follows a character named Max (Bautista) whose life is turned upside down after an alien species crash-lands on Earth.

Per a report by Deadline, in Dreadnought, Bautista's character Max struggles in a world ravaged by an alien species that has released a deadly plague on Earth. The plague takes his wife and most of humanity.
In the fragile society that remains, humans have learned to live with their extraterrestrial invaders. But for Max, mere survival isn't enough as he risks losing his older daughter Greta to the same disease.

'Dreadnought' production team includes 'John Wick' franchise producers
The production team for Dreadnought includes Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee of Thunder Road, known for their work on the John Wick franchise.
Other producers are Jason Ross Jallet, Andrew Bronfman, Jonathan Bronfman of Beyond The Frame; Bautista himself; and Ashley Daniels of Dogbone Entertainment.
The visual effects will be overseen by Marz VFX.
WME Independent is launching sales ahead of the EFM in Berlin.

Iwanyk has said he's thrilled to be working with directors Murnion and Milott on Dreadnought.
