'Dasvi' trailer: Abhishek Bachchan perfects Haryanvi accent, gait of politician
As promised, the trailer for Abhishek Bachchan's upcoming OTT release, Dasvi was dropped on Wednesday. Starring as a Class 8-pass politician Ganga Ram Chaudhary, Bachchan perfects a Haryanvi accent and the gait of a typical Indian politician. We also get insight into Yami Gautam Dhar and Nimrat Kaur's roles in the clip. Let's break down the trailer of the Tushar Jalota directorial.
What does the trailer show us?
Wasting no time, the clip begins with Chief Minister Ganga Ram Chaudhary being sent to judicial custody in a corruption case. A proud Jaat with solid political backing, Chaudhary doesn't lose his air of superiority even behind the bars. IPS officer Jyoti Deswal (Gautam Dhar) attempts to break down this attitude by giving him a reality check. It's then Chaudhary decides to complete matriculation.
Bimla Devi is stand-in CM, but wants to be permanent
We're given sequences of Chaudhary struggling to complete the syllabus as nearly everyone thinks he won't be able to pass this exam in life. On the other hand, due to Chaudhary's jail visit, his wife, Bimla Devi (Kaur) has had to leave her domestic duties to run a state. And, after tasting power, Bimla refuses to leave the seat. What happens next?

Before dropping trailer, Bachchan shared special note about 'Dasvi'
Just hours before sharing the trailer, Junior Bachchan posted a special note about the film online. Written on a blackboard (staying true to the theme here), the note talked about how "Dasvi is a film very, very close" to Bachchan's heart. "I want to be unapologetic about this film. We've all worked tremendously hard and I believe deeply that we've made a good film."
'It's enough! Now it's time to play on frontfoot'
