Darshan's partner Pavithra allegedly kicked Renukaswamy before his death
The recent submission of a police charge sheet in the Renukaswamy murder case has unveiled startling details. The case involves Kannada superstar Darshan and his partner Pavithra Gowda, who is now accused of assaulting the victim before his death. According to sources cited by TOI, "Gowda had told a fan that when he pleaded guilty in front of her, she kicked him and said he didn't deserve to live."
Gowda's alleged involvement in Renukaswamy's murder
The charge sheet reveals that Gowda was present at the crime scene with Darshan and was instructed to confront Renukaswamy for sending inappropriate pictures and messages. The victim, already severely beaten by a group of 15 people including Darshan, pleaded for mercy. However, Gowda allegedly slapped him, questioned his right to live, and kicked him before leaving the scene.
Forensic evidence linked Gowda to the crime scene
During the investigation, police found blood stains from Renukaswamy on Gowda's sandals and clothes. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) reports confirmed these findings. The probe also revealed that Gowda visited a beauty spa the morning after Renukaswamy's murder, before being summoned by police and arrested. She is currently in judicial custody at Bengaluru Central Prison. The charge sheet states that Gowda not only provoked and conspired but also actively participated in the crime.
Accused used fan group to obstruct investigation
The police also reported that Gowda, Darshan, and other accused were using a fan group to hinder the investigation. Technical evidence collected confirmed the direct involvement of these individuals. In the chargesheet filed by Kamakshipalya police before the 24th additional chief metropolitan magistrate's court, Gowda remains accused No. 1 while Darshan is accused No. 2 - as was the case with the FIR filed earlier.
