Amid cheating claims, Dalljiet Kaur accuses husband of 'denying marriage'
In a series of social media updates, actor Dalljiet Kaur has been making serious allegations against her husband, Nikhil Patel. Following her claims of infidelity on Saturday, Kaur has now publicly accused Patel of "refusing to acknowledge" their marriage. In a now-deleted Instagram post on Sunday, she expressed her frustration over Patel's alleged denial. She questioned their marriage's validity and asked her followers for their opinions on the matter.

In her Instagram post, Kaur wrote in Hindi, "My clothes are there, my chooda is there, my temple, all my things are there...But my husband is saying it's not my house. He is saying we never got married." This emotional plea led to an outpouring of support from her fans. Many urged her to take legal action against Patel while others requested more information about the situation. Some even suggested she file a "cheating case" against him.
Actor confirmed separation and hinted at infidelity
Kaur confirmed her separation from Patel—via Instagram Stories on Saturday—nearly a year after their wedding. The couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram several months prior. In one of her posts, she broached the topic of infidelity in marriage, asking her followers, "What's your thought on extra-marital affairs? Who is to be blamed?...The girl...The husband...The wife, (sic)." This post further fueled speculation about the reasons behind their separation.
Speculations grew stronger as Kaur returned to India
Speculation about trouble in her relationship with Patel began when she returned to India with her son Jaydon (from her first marriage). Soon after her marriage in March 2023, Kaur moved to Kenya with her Indian-origin Kenya-based businessman. Moreover, she startled everyone by removing her wedding pictures from her Instagram account and dropping "Patel" from her name. A statement from Kaur's team explained that she was back in the country for personal reasons.
She was previously married to Shalin Bhanot
Before marrying Patel in 2023, Kaur was previously wedded to television actor and Bigg Boss 16 contestant Shalin Bhanot from 2009 to 2015. They share one child, Jaydon. Their union ended in 2015 following allegations of domestic violence leveled against Bhanot by Kaur. Additionally, she allegedly accused him of disregarding her while she was pregnant with their child.
