#MeTooEffect: Dalip Tahil records actress' statement before shooting rape scene
Bollywood's #MeToo movement is creating the right noise across the nation. It has not just exposed the perpetrators of the industry, but has also created a sense of fear amongst men. For instance, veteran actor Dalip Tahil, who is working on Sudhir Mishra's upcoming directorial, agreed to do a rape scene with the actress but had a prior condition. Here's more on his condition.
"No rape scene shooting without actress' statement"
As per a report published in Navbharat Times, Dalip initially refused to enact the rape scene. However, he was later convinced by the makers. But he demanded a confirmation letter from the actress featuring in the scene. According to Dalip's condition, the actress had to give him written consent saying she is comfortable shooting the rape scene and is doing so without any pressure.
Dalip even got a visual proof to avoid controversy
Apparently, Dalip wasn't satisfied with the written consent and went for visual proof as well. According to the media reports, after shooting the scene, he also got the actress to record her statement on the camera. In the video, the actress stated that she has performed that scene without any pressure and that she was satisfied with the security measures on the sets.
#MeToo has left Dalip quite terrified
Given the fact that Dalip has been taking every precautionary measure to avoid any controversy, it seems that the #MeToo revelations have scared him. The movement has already exposed biggies like Alok Nath, Subhash Ghai, Vikas Bahl, Sajid Khan etc. And looks like Dalip is making every effort to maintain a safe distance from the #MeToo controversies.
