Chulbul Pandey is back, Dabangg 3 shooting to start mid-2018
Actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan finally confirmed the third installment of Salman Khan's super-hit Dabangg franchise -Dabangg 3- will start shooting in mid-2018. Arbaaz revealed the details at the trailer launch of his upcoming flick "Tera Intezaar" co-starring Sunny Leone. Salman plays Chulbul Pandey (Robinhood Pandey), a police inspector, in the Dabangg-series, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha; it's one of his most popular characters. Read more!
Dabangg 3, reportedly a prequel to Dabangg
The first and second installments of the Dabangg franchise were released in 2010 and 2012, respectively. Dabangg marked Sonakshi Sinha's debut. Salman Khan's brother Arbaaz turned director with Dabangg 2. However, he is reportedly not going to direct Dabangg 3 but only produce the film. There have been rumors that Dabangg 3 would be a prequel, showing how and why Chulbul became Robinhood.
A twist to the plot: Salman Khan
In a Jun'17 interview, Salman Khan said: "The story starts with Dabangg 3 in the present and then it goes back to the past and then comes back to the present day again. It will have a prequel portion, but only as a flashback."
Sunny Leone to be a part of Dabangg 3?
During the press conference at Tera Intezaar trailer launch event, Arbaaz was asked if he would cast his co-star Sunny Leone in Dabangg 3 for a special number. He said that he could cast her for something different but only after finalizing a few things. Tera Intezaar, which releases on 24 November, is Arbaaz Khan's first collaboration with Sunny Leone.
