Why Netflix 2025 slate skipped Triptii Dimri-Vijay Varma's 'Afghan Snow'
What's the story
Netflix India recently unveiled its star-studded lineup for 2025, including Aryan Khan's directorial debut Ba_ds of Bollywood and Dining with the Kapoors.
However, the spy thriller Afghan Snow, featuring Triptii Dimri and Vijay Varma, was conspicuously missing from the list.
The series, produced by Karnesh Sharma's Clean Slate Filmz (CSF), was said to have been delivered to Netflix in December 2023 but hasn't reached audiences yet.

Show overhaul
Netflix considering re-editing 'Afghan Snow,' says report
Per Mid-Day, industry insiders revealed that Netflix has taken over the project from Sharma and is considering making changes to the series.
An actor from Afghan Snow, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "Afghan Snow has been given to Netflix, and the team is contemplating re-editing the show and even shooting additional parts as they deem fit."
The actor added that many titles beyond those announced on Monday would be added to Netflix's slate later this year.
Production issues
Creative differences and delayed payments plagued 'Afghan Snow'
The decision to re-edit Afghan Snow comes after reported creative differences between the makers and Netflix after the series' completion in December 2023.
These disagreements have kept the project in limbo for over a year, resulting in delayed payments for crew members.
A unit hand disclosed: "Our payments took very long to get cleared. While some got the full payment eventually, for many of us, the final tranche will come upon release."
Production house changes
Speculations about Clean Slate Filmz's future emerge
The delay in Afghan Snow's release has sparked rumors of major changes at CSF.
An insider told Bollywood Hungama that the production house has been "practically defunct for the past year" and plans to relaunch under a new name are in the works.
These speculations gained traction when Sudip Sharma, who worked with CSF on Kohrra (2023), announced its second season independently.
To recall, Bollywood star Anushka Sharma co-founded CSF in 2013 with brother Karnesh, but stepped aside in 2022.
