Bachchan and Dosanjh vie for Best Actor
Bachchan, nominated for his role in I Want To Talk, said, "I am truly honored to be nominated for Best Actor by the Film Critics Guild." He called the film an "incredibly special journey" and thanked the respected panel of critics for the recognition.
Meanwhile, Dosanjh has been nominated for his performance in Amar Singh Chamkila.
Female lead
Konkona Sen Sharma among Best Actress nominees
Konkona Sen Sharma, who was nominated for her role in Killer Soup, was equally excited about the nomination.
She said, "To be nominated for Critics' Choice Awards is always an honor, to be nominated for Abhishek Chaubey's Killer Soup makes it even more special! I'm thrilled, thank you!"
The show is also in the running for the Best Web Series category.
Short films
Short Film category features diverse nominations
The Best Short Film category features IYKYK (If You Know You Know), Jal Tu Jalaal Tu, Obur, Taak (Tracker), and Virundhu (The Feast), among the nominees.
Meanwhile, the Best Director nominees for short films are Bonita Rajpurohit (IYKYK), Prateek Vats (Jal Tu Jalaal Tu), Faraz Ali (Obur), Ajai Vishwanath (Starch), and Udit Khurana (Taak).

Documentary and web series nominations announced
The Documentary category has Against the Tide, And, Towards Happy Alleys, Nocturnes, Rhythm of a Flower (Phool Ka Channd), and The Midwife's Confession nominated.
For the Web Series category, the Best Actor nominees include Mihir Godbole for Lampan, Ravi Kishan for Maamla Legal Hai, Barun Sobti for Raat Jawaan Hai, Kay Kay Menon for Shekhar Home, and Tahir Raj Bhasin for Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein 2.
