Box office: 'Crew' shows resilience as it nears one-month mark
The heist comedy Crew, featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu, is approaching its one-month milestone with a robust box office performance. In the past four days alone, Crew has consistently garnered nearly half a crore daily. On its 28th day in theaters, it collected a reported ₹35 lakh, bringing its total domestic earnings to an impressive ₹76.41cr. Here's a breakdown of its collections.
'Crew' has been a hit at the box office
Despite initial challenges, Crew has not only achieved the ₹75cr mark in India but also exceeded the ₹100cr milestone globally. The film had a strong opening day on March 29, collecting ₹9.25cr, and reached its peak on the third day with ₹10.5cr. However, since then, there has been a gradual decrease in daily earnings. On its fourth Friday, Crew recorded an impressive overall Hindi occupancy of 10.21%, surpassing competitors like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (9.30%).
Khan, Sanon, and Tabu play cabin crew members in 'Crew'
In Crew, Kapoor Khan, Sanon, and Tabu play cabin crew members who aspire for wealth and success. Their plans, however, take a wrong turn leading to a complex web of deception driven by greed. The film also features guest appearances by Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma. Despite facing obstacles, Crew has achieved box office success under the production banner of Anil Kapoor Films and Balaji Motion Pictures in collaboration with Communication Network.
'Crew' is Sanon's second hit of the year
Meanwhile, Crew marks the second hit of the year for Sanon. Before Crew, Sanon's first film of the year, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, alongside Shahid Kapoor, earned about ₹133.64cr. Now, Sanon is preparing for her upcoming venture as a producer for Netflix's Do Patti—where she'll also star alongside Kajol. Kapoor Khan has Singham Again in the pipeline while Tabu will share screen with Ajay Devgn in Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.
