Box office collection: 'Crew' struggles to mount big daily haul
The film Crew, featuring Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu, is facing challenges at the domestic box office. Although it crossed the global ₹100cr mark, its performance in India has been underwhelming, barely surpassing the ₹75cr milestone. According to Sacnilk, by its 27th day in cinemas, Crew had only garnered around ₹75.6 crore domestically with Wednesday's collection of ₹45 lakh.
'Crew' fared better on Wednesday than other weekdays
On its 27th day in theaters, Crew saw a slight increase in its domestic earnings, adding another ₹45 lakh to its total. This was an increase from the film's daily domestic collection of ₹40 lakh on Monday and Tuesday. Despite an impressive opening day collection of ₹9.25 crore, the movie's daily earnings have gradually dwindled over time, indicating a fluctuating box office journey since its debut.
The film is a comedy heist
The storyline of Crew centers around cabin crew members, played by Tabu, Kapoor Khan, and Sanon. The characters find themselves in a heist that spirals out of control. The film also includes guest appearances by Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma. It is produced by Anil Kapoor Films and Balaji Motion Pictures, with additional production support from co-producers Rhea Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Ektaa Kapoor, and Digvijay Purohit.
