'No complaint has been filed': Police explain Raveena Tandon incident
What's the story
Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon is in hot water, facing accusations of assaulting at least three individuals in Mumbai's Bandra suburb late Saturday night.
The incident reportedly occurred when Tandon's driver allegedly struck three people due to reckless driving.
Witnesses claimed that an intoxicated Tandon verbally and physically assaulted the victims.
However, now, the police have stepped in to provide details on what exactly transpired.
Official statement
Police dismissed reports of 'assault' and 'head injury'
Per ETimes, DCP Raj Tilak Roshan dismissed reports of assault and head injury, stating that no complaint has been filed in the case.
He explained, "Raveena Tandon's driver was taking a reverse to park the car, and around that time, the other party started shouting 'gaadi chala rahe hai' (they are running over us)."
He continued, "The car hasn't even brushed against any of them. They started fighting and Raveena also came out and she started to fight with them."
Defense claims
Tandon's side of the story revealed by close sources
Meanwhile, sources close to Tandon revealed that she was alone with her children at home when the incident occurred.
"She only came to save her driver who was being manhandled by the other party. The other party in fact, started filming and if you look at the CCTV footage the actress is only trying to calm them down, but instead, they started abusing and even said the actress was drunk which was completely false."

Video evidence circulated amid assault allegations
For those unaware, a video posted by journalist Mohsin Shaikh on Sunday showed the chaotic scene with locals confronting the 49-year-old actor.
Amid the commotion, Tandon can be heard pleading, "Don't push. Please don't hit me."
An alleged victim is also heard stating, "You will have to spend the night in jail. My nose is bleeding."
Aftermath
A man accused Tandon of 'assaulting his mother'
Later, a man named Mohammed detailed the entire ordeal on video.
He explained that his mother, sister, and niece were near Rizvi College when Tandon's driver "ran over" his mother.
He further alleged that he and the victims waited at Khar police station for four hours without their complaint being taken.
"They asked us to get it settled out of the police station. But why should we settle scores? My mother has been assaulted and I demand justice," he expressed.
