Apple TV+ axes 'Constellation' after just one season
Apple TV+ has decided to discontinue its sci-fi psychological thriller series Constellation after just one season, reported Deadline. The series, featuring Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks, concluded its first season on March 27. The cancellation news was made public a month and a half later. Constellation was an action-packed space adventure that delved into the dark aspects of human psychology through its lead character Jo, an astronaut played by Rapace.

Constellation revolves around Jo, an astronaut portrayed by Rapace, who survives a space disaster only to return to Earth and discover crucial parts of her life missing. The series was created and penned by Peter Harness, known for his work on Doctor Who, McMafia, City of Vice, and Case Histories. Besides Rapace and Banks, the additional cast included James D'Arcy, Julian Looman, William Catlett, Barbara Sukowa, Rosie Coleman, and Davina Coleman. The show has a 6.8/10 IMDb rating.

Constellation was a collaborative production of Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV in Germany. The executive producers included David Tanner, Tracey Scoffield, Caroline Benjo, Simon Arnal, Carole Scotta, Justin Thomson, and Michelle MacLaren. MacLaren also directed the show along with Oliver Hirschbiegel and Joseph Cedar. Despite Constellation's cancellation, Apple TV+ continues to host a strong lineup of sci-fi series such as For All Mankind, Foundation, Severance, Invasion, and Silo.
