The much-awaited second season of the iconic Indian television show, CID, is returning with its original cast members: Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Dayanand Shetty. In a recent promotional video released by Sony Entertainment Television on Wednesday, Shetty revealed an interesting detail about his character from the first season. He revealed that he had broken between "1,700 or 1,800+ doors," as per a fan's survey.
Shetty's character is known for breaking doors
Shetty, who plays Inspector Daya in the series, is famous for his signature move of breaking down doors. In the video, he humorously said, "Normally koi bhi accha kaam karta hai toh hum log use gin ke nehi karte jaise aap paise gin ke nehi rakhte ho (We don't count good deeds like we don't count money)." However, he reveals that per a fan survey, he broke over 1,700 doors in the show.
'CID 2' to feature a new dynamic between characters
The first promo of CID 2 hinted at a change in the Daya-Abhijeet (Srivastava) relationship. Satam, who reprises his role of ACP Pradyuman after six years, described this shakeup as a shakeup to the foundation of CID. He promised the upcoming season would be filled with suspense and heart-stopping drama. According to a Pinkvilla report, the shooting for CID 2 was slated to start on November 15. The cult detective series might air in December, around Christmas.
